CUSO- Agricultural Extension Worker (Laos): Cuso is offering a two year contract to an agricultural extension worker to provide technical support to farmers and extension workers in sustainable farming systems in Laos. Qualifications include a degree in agriculture, horticulture, or soil science with at least 2 years experience. Experience with specific upland farming techniques such as alley cropping, agro-forestry and cover crops would be an asset. WORK WANTED: York University Environmental Studies student wishes to have the opportunity to do hands-on ecological agriculture or forestry work and/or research, liaising/outreach etc. as part of my summer field experience. No previous agricultural background, but motivated to learn. Though a modest wage is preferred, will consider volunteer work.
