Join the Ecological Solutions Roundtable

Plan to attend the 13th Annual Organic Agriculture Conference on January 28 & 29, 1994 at the University of Guelph. This year, Joe Smillie, an international organic market consultant from Québec, will give his perspective on organics as a builder of communities.
The conference will open with a public forum and panel discussion on Friday, Jan. 28 at 7:00 p.m., Room 103. Admission to the Public Forum is by donation to the Guelph Food Bank. The Conference, trade show, and workshops will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29. This year's menu of 24 workshops offers such diversity as: organic transition for field crops and horticulture crops, biodynamics, the role of livestock on an ecological farm, community shared agriculture, rural community development, co- operatives for farmers and consumers, along with presentations on current University of Guelph research and REAP's work on bio-fuels.
The EFAO is co-sponsoring this event with Canadian Organic Growers, Society for Biodynamic Farming & Gardening, Guelph Agriculture Alternatives, Organic Crop Improvement Association (Ontario), Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and University of Guelph.
Advance registration before Jan. 17 is $30.00 for a single or $20.00 each for a group of up to 3 persons. Registration at the door will be $40.00 for a single or $30.00 each for a group. Students may register for $5.00. For anyone interested in participating in the trade show the admission is $80.00 for profit organizations and $40.00 for non-profit. Each trade show admission includes one Conference admission ticket. Additional admissions for Trade Show staff may be had at $20.00 each.
